Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA)

ASA shares similar properties to ABS, and in most cases equals or slightly exceeds the mechanical properties of standard ABS. However, ASA performs better in the areas of UV stability and heat resistance This makes ASA an ideal material for outdoor or commercial uses where it won’t be painted or covered.

PRO-FORM offer ASA as a capping layer with ABS as standard. ASA is available in sheet form by request and special order. If you have any project needs then please get in touch with one of our staff talk this through with you.

Common ASA Applications

ASA’s excellent weather resistance properties makes it great for outdoor applications such as ducting for air-conditioning, automotive and transportation exterior parts, housing covers and shrouds.
